Sustainable Design and Manufacturing

The KES Sustainable Design and Manufacturing (SDM) society and conference is for those interested in industrial sustainability. The focus is on the development of innovative, advanced and environmentally friendly technology, together with its effective and sustainable implementation via suitable hardware, software or management systems to applications within the manufacturing industries.

There are three priority areas:-

- Sustainable products and processes
- Sustainable manufacturing systems and enterprises, and
- Decision support tools for sustainability.

Sustainability in Energy and Buildings

The Sustainability in Energy and Buildings (SEB) conference series concentrates on a range of renewable energy and sustainability related topics. In addition to general sustainable energy topics, the conference series explores a number of innovative themes:-

- The application of intelligent sensing, control, optimisation and modelling techniques to sustainability
- Smart sustainability, smart energy and smart grids
- The technology of sustainable buildings
